About Heather K. Jones
Hi there! I’m Heather, a Near-Death Experiencer, Dietitian, and Internal Family Systems Coach. I’m also the creator of several popular online programs including Feel Better Eat Better, Sensitivity is Your Superpower, and Higher Self Health, and the co-author of the New York Times best-selling Skinnytaste cookbooks.
At the heart of my work, I serve as a Higher Self Messenger, helping people reconnect with the wise, loving essence of their Soul so they can transform challenges into growth and live with greater clarity, compassion, and courage.
I’ve helped thousands of people create lasting change from the inside out, but my life hasn’t always been fueled by green juice, self-love, and optimism. Ha… not even close.
As a sensitive and intuitive child, I was deeply connected to the spirit world, yet often felt overwhelmed by the energies in my family and the world around me. That overwhelm manifested as stuttering, and I spent much of my childhood anxious and unsure of myself.
In my teenage years, that anxiety led to disordered eating, and in college, I tried to suppress my emotions with alcohol and partying. Even after becoming a dietitian and working at a well-respected nonprofit, I continued to abuse my body with food, alcohol, and cigarettes. I desperately wanted to change, but nothing seemed to stick. I was a health professional living a very unhealthy life, and I felt like such a hypocrite.
My turning point came when I began having daily panic attacks, sometimes more than ten a day. I could no longer ignore my fear and pain with external fixes. For the first time ever, I turned inward and met the scared parts of my inner world with gentleness and curiosity. That choice changed my life.
I discovered how to love, support, and understand myself. Step by step, I replaced my self-loathing with acceptance, my fear with compassion, my guilt with forgiveness, and my self-destructive habits with soul-care.
I also reconnected with my Higher Self, my spirit guides, and the memories of my near-death experience at seventeen. I remembered a deeper truth: that we are all Divine beings having a human experience, and that we are innately worthy and lovable.
Many years later, I trained with a shaman and eventually discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS)—a model that gave language to what I had already been doing intuitively: meeting the parts of my inner world with compassion. Today, these psycho-spiritual tools are the foundation of how I support others on their path of awakening, healing, and soul remembrance.
