Don’t we all struggle with self-confidence? I know I do!
There’s this crazy idea in the wild world of weight loss that if we hate ourselves enough, torture ourselves enough, and shame and guilt ourselves enough, that we will end up happy, thin and confident.
But this is NOT the path to happiness. Hatred and self-loathing only bring more hatred and self-loathing into your life. And self-confidence is not something some people are just born with, or something you will magically obtain once you reach your ideal weight. Self-confidence is something we cultivate and practice on a daily basis.
